Guy Armstrong

Managing Director

Guy is Managing Director of Research at Strategic Insight. Guy joined Investor Economics, a premier Toronto-based research and consulting firm that SI acquired in 2015, in early 2006 as a member of the firm’s senior management team.

Guy earned an MBA in Finance at the University of Toronto while working there full time as a research biologist in the University’s Faculty of Forestry. He then moved into the financial services industry, where he gained 20 years of broad and extensive research experience while working for two of the Big Six banks, two trust companies, and a major financial planning organization. This encompassed roles in product management, regulation, distribution and wealth finance. Guy is increasingly engaged in providing Investor Economics’ clients with fact- and analytic-based recommendations on wealth business strategies focused on pricing, distribution and compensation.
